Good morning,
What a month it has been! We’ve been absolutely overwhelmed by the incredible response to Lap the Map 2025.
Together, we walked, ran and rolled our way across 18,600 kilometres, raising an amazing $23,600 — enough to fund half an Assistance Dog.
This achievement reflects the remarkable commitment shown by everyone involved.
This year saw:
✨ 46 teams
✨ 127 individuals
Thank you for every step, stride and wag that helped move our mission forward.
While we didn’t quite reach our overall distance goal, the combined effort from Lions Clubs, community groups, individual participants, and of course all the wonderful dogs who joined in has been outstanding.
Your dedication, fundraising and enthusiasm made this year’s Lap the Map a real success. We’re genuinely grateful for the energy you brought to the event and the support you’ve shown for Australians living with type 1 diabetes.
To stay up to date with Lap the Map 2026 and the wider work of Lions Assistance Dogs — including our life-changing Diabetic Alert Dogs Program — please follow our social media pages and keep an eye out for upcoming announcements.
Thank you once again for being part of Lap the Map 2025.
P.S. It’s not too late to donate — November might be over, but many Australians living with type 1 diabetes are still waiting for a life-changing Assistance Dog, and your support can help make that possible.
We wish you all a Merry Christmas and a happy and safe New Year.
Kind regards,
The Lap the Map Team
