Lions Prostate Cancer Research & Treatment Project committee recently hosted a "Prostate Cancer Awareness Event" that was successfully held on wednesday 3 September 2025. We are grateful to DG Stuart Perrett and Q3 PDG Andy Fitzgerald for their atendance. We had 61 Registrations for the event and room was nearly full.
We are appreciative to Dee & Alex, Clinicians from Mater Cancer Care Centre, Prof. Hooper from Mater Research and Cr. Ryan Murphy for giving up their time and great presentations.
The event was timed to coincide with Prostate Cancer Awareness month of September, with the aim of promoting Prostate Cancer awareness and early detection.
We would like to thank Brisbane Holland Park Lions Club for their assistance and help in promoting the Lions Prostate Cancer Awareness event.
Everyone seemed to learn from and appreciate the speakers. Refreshments were provided afterwards, with speakers staying in attandance and the room had a very buzzy atmosphere.
