The members of the Griffith University Lions Krafters Group have once again been hard at work, sharing their talents and generosity to support members of our community in need.
In the lead-up to Mother’s Day, our amazing Krafters created a range of beautiful handmade gifts for recipients connected with Meals on Wheels at Acacia Ridge and Sunnybank. These thoughtful items were warmly received and brought joy and comfort to many within the local community.
The Krafters ladies also recently delivered another collection of handmade items to the AirMed team at the Archerfield hangar. Included in the donation were precious premie beanies, soft blankets, and cuddly teddy bears — all lovingly crafted with care and compassion.
We have since received a wonderful update showing just how important these donations are. One touching photo shared with us featured a tiny baby being transported by AirMed, wrapped safely and warmly in a blanket handmade by our Krafters group. It is a beautiful reminder that every stitch, every beanie, and every blanket can make a real difference during difficult times for families and children in need.
Projects such as these truly demonstrate the spirit of Lionism in action — caring for our communities through kindness, fellowship, and service. The Griffith University Lions Krafters Group continue to show that even the smallest handmade gift can provide comfort, hope, and support when it is needed most.
